Jake and Willie Mitchell Banks are back with that burning desire to make this a better world by ridding it of unsavory factions. Father and son team and Natchez residents Michael Henry and William Henry have joined their talents in giving us the latest two "Banks" novels, "The Ride Along" and "D. O. G. s: the Secret History". About the Books: "Our nation has lost its nerve. Government overreaches and the political class corrupts. Political correctness paralyzes us. See you at the "Holiday Bazaar and Merry Market"  at the Natchez Convention Center. Join us for this great Christmas shopping opportunity. Many downtown shops will participate at "The Bazaar"
which is a fundraiser for Trinity Episcopal Day School.

 

Don Estes will be at the Holiday Bazaar that morning 10:00-12:00 with his
"Legends of the Natchez City Cemetery" book.

 

Joe Lee will be at the Holiday Bazaar in the afternoon 1:00-3:00 pm with
his new book of fiction "The Long Road Home".

Tuesday, November 8th, 12:00-2:00


Memhis author Lisa Patton will be touring Mississippi with her books published by St. Martin's Press, "Whistlin' Dixie in a Nor'Easter" and "Yankee Doodle Dixie". Lisa won our hearts last year in "Whistlin' Dixie in a Nor'Easter" with her Southern charm and eccentric characters. The new release "Yankee Doodle Dixie" continues the story, but new readers will not be left behind if they choose this book singularly. Lisa includes just enough back information to bring you into her flock. Both of these books are fun reads that will make you laugh and look for more from Patton. We will serve refreshments at this noon event.

Natchez native and author Rob Dalby (Bobby Kuehnle) will be signing the trade paper new release of "A Piggly Wiggly Christmas". Let's all give Rob (Bobby) a warm welcome and congratulate him on his successful "Piggly Wiggly" series published by Penguin USA. I hear Bobby has a new series in the works. Maybe he will tell us about that. Join us at noon for refreshments and a book event with Rob Dalby. We will have other titles by Dalby available.

Jodi Rhoden will present and sign her new book "Cake Ladies: Celebrating a Southern Tradition". Her book published by Lark Crafts is a compilation of recipes and stories collected from Cake Ladies located throughout the South. Jodi, a modern cake lady, owns and operates Short Street Cakes, a bakery in Asheville, North Carolina. Turning Pages will serve cake and coffee at this event.

Turning Pages Books and More is happy to have co-editors Donald Goodman and Thomas Head with a new cookbook, "The Happy Table of Eugene Walter: Southern Spirits in Food and Drink". Eugene Walter enjoys iconic status in the culinary world, in southern culture, and in literary circles. He is well know as the author of the classic cookbook, "American Cooking: Southern Style". At this lunch-time event Turning Pages will be serving food prepared using recipies from "The Happy Table".

Turning Pages Books & More, 520 Franklin Stret, Natchez, MS, will host Alan Brown as he introduces his newest "ghost" book, "Ghosts Along the Mississippi River" to the Miss-Lou. This book contains some of the nation's most compelling ghost stories. These stories owe their origin to "The Father of Waters" as the tales are from small towns along the Mississippi River. Refreshments will be served.

Mississippi native, Ron Tew, will sign copies of his new sailing adventure book "The Conversion". Ron who now lives in Pensacola, FL is a Mississippi State University graduate. Nell Dickerson will sign copies of the book "Gone: A Heartbreaking Story of the Civil War, A Photographic Plea for Preservation". This book includes an essay written by historian Shelby
Foote and the foreward is by author Robert Hicks. "Nell's photographs tell a cautionary tale. Take heed!--Lest all that once was is lost in the name of modernity and progress."
